Robert Carlsen Photography

Robert Carlsen began taking photographs over thirty years ago in 1968.  He studied art and photography at St. Petersburg College in Florida where he founded both the acting and  photography clubs.  After school he moved to New Jersey while working in NYC.

In 1978 he began working as a wedding and portrait photographer and within three years opened his own photography studio.

Robert studied and perfected the Rocky Gunn method of wedding photography.  He also studied portraiture with Carmine Chitino, a "master" photograher with the PPA.

In 1990 he had the opportunity to video the wedding of actor Dave Coulier (Full House - TV Show) to Actress Jayne Modean (Spring Break - 1983).  The result of that wedding created a demand for him to begin shooting wedding videos for the next three years.

Currently he teaches courses in "Digital Creative Photography" and "Digital Enhancements & Corrections  (using Adobe Photoshop)".  When he's not teaching, Robert  takes photographers on "Photo Safari's", presents presentations and  demonstrations on various aspects of photography & printing, and judges photography exhibitions.

Robert exhibits his photography and photographic art in various galleries & exhibitions, and has won many awards.  His work has been published in magazines and calendars.  He is currently preparing a book of his work for publication.
